Our History
In March of 2020, hundreds of Dane County volunteers came together (virtually!) to make sure that everyone in our community had access to quality face masks. In 6 months, we distributed more than 20,000 homemade masks to food pantries, emergency shelters, essential businesses, schools, and individuals in need, and helped Dane County Emergency Management deliver an additional 5,000 masks to 70 childcare centers.
Dozens of donors generously contributed thousands of dollars in donations of cash, fabric, and other materials. We also had the help of some incredible community partners, including Sector 67, Boys and Girls Club of Dane County, the Schenk Atwood Neighborhood Association, and Plastic Ingenuity.
THANK YOU to everyone who came together to help #MaskUpDane.
